This beautiful lithograph on heavy paper uses the famous Art Nouveau tiger by Ranson to promote a show of prints and originals at London Arts Gallery November 20th - December 2nd (1971). The Art Nouveau theme of the show must have complimented very well with the gallery's setting overlooking the atrium of Detroit's Art Deco masterpiece, the historic Fisher Building in the New Center area.

Miscellaneous Artists      Takeshi Kawashima - London Arts Poster  1974

This 1974 poster is pure fun. The art of Kawashima can be called erotically abstract , or perhaps geometrically anatomical. Upon further study these designs reveal many rich layers of visual interest and imaginative fantasy.

This poster was featured in the catalogue of the 1970 exhibition Rauschenberg - "Graphic Art" held by the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania.

Technically this print is not a poster. It is a lithograph conceived and executed as any other limited edition print by Challenger. However it was made to promote both artist and gallery...therefore...its a poster.
